Gender Pay Gap Statement

Bonneygrove and Millbrook Primary Federation

At Bonneygrove and Millbrook Primary Federation, we are committed to equality, fairness and inclusion for all staff. We recognise the importance of understanding and addressing the gender pay gap as part of creating a supportive and equitable workplace.

What is the Gender Pay Gap?

The gender pay gap is the difference in average earnings between men and women across an organisation or workforce. It is not the same as equal pay, which relates to paying men and women equally for doing the same job.

Our Commitment

We fully support the principles outlined in national Gender Pay Gap reporting. These reports provide a high-level analysis of pay differences across a workforce, helping organisations identify areas for improvement and take action.

At our Federation, we are committed to:

  • ensuring fair and transparent pay practices
  • promoting equality of opportunity at all levels
  • supporting career development for all staff
  • fostering an inclusive working environment where everyone can thrive

Understanding the Bigger Picture

National data shows that while progress is being made, gender pay gaps still exist across the UK workforce. For example:

  • The UK gender pay gap for full-time employees was around 6.9% in 2025
  • Pay gaps are often influenced by factors such as representation in senior roles and working patterns across sectors

This highlights the importance of continuing to promote equality in recruitment, progression and leadership opportunities.

How We Support Equality

Within our Federation, we work to ensure equality by:

  • using fair recruitment and selection processes
  • supporting flexible working where possible
  • encouraging professional development and leadership opportunities
  • monitoring staffing structures to ensure fairness and consistency

We recognise that achieving equality is an ongoing process and we remain committed to continuous review and improvement.

Our Values

Our work on equality reflects our wider school values of:

  • respect
  • inclusion
  • fairness
  • aspiration

We believe that by embedding these values in both our classrooms and our workplace, we create a culture where everyone feels valued and supported.

Moving Forward

We will continue to:

  • review our staffing and pay structures
  • support career progression for all staff
  • ensure transparency and fairness in our practices

By doing this, we aim to maintain a workplace where all staff — regardless of gender — have equal opportunity to succeed.
