Meet the Governors

A warm welcome to Bonneygrove from all of our Governors. We are all proud to play an important role in the development of the school and value the contribution of all children, parents and staff.

Bonneygrove Governing Body Profiles 

 Amanda Gable - Headteacher

I am the Headteacher at Bonneygrove Primary School.  I joined the school in September 2017.  I have a passion for teaching and learning and I believe that all children should have an enriching and enjoyable time at school.  I have 3 children and a Tibetan Terrier named Oscar. When I am not at school I enjoy spending time with my family and friends as well as travelling. 

Shen Hasekilerden - Chair of Governors 

I am a mum of 3 boys, 2 of whom attend the Broxbourne School and 1 is still at Bonneygrove in year 3.  My employment background is Executive Recruitment within the hospitality industry.  I studied to a BA (hons) level in Finance and Accountancy.   My interests include spending time with friends and family.  My main interest is being a mum and pursuing my boy's interests, development and happiness. 

 

I have been a Parent Governor for 8 years and I'm in my 3rd year as the Chair of Governors.

Yvonne Mobbs-Vice Chair-Local Authority Governor  

I am a mum of two former Bonneygrove pupils, both of them now attend St Mary’s High School in Cheshunt.

I work full time as a dispenser for Boots the Chemist in Goffs Oak, and have been there now for the last 9 years. Along side my full time work I am a local councillor for Broxbourne borough council. 

In the last 7 years a have held different roles with in the council and am one of the mental health champions for the borough. 

I love to embrace my local community and it’s a pleasure to be able to give something back

Jodie Klein-Parent Governor

I have one daughter who is in Year 2.

I have worked in education for over 20 years as a teacher in both special needs and a mainstream setting with children aged 7-11. In my last teaching post, I worked in a large 5 form entry school in Edmonton where I was Science co-ordinator and Deputy year leader as well as a class teacher.

Since having my daughter, I haven’t returned to full time work. Currently I am volunteering one day a week leading arts and crafts activities at a day centre in Cheshunt working with clients who are elderly and / or have dementia. I find this very rewarding and enjoy giving back.

I am passionate about nature and wildlife, enjoy walking and being outdoors.

Vanessa Brennan - Parent Governor 

I have been a parent governor since July 2018 and enjoy the challenges and rewards that come with the role. I have a son in Year 2 who keeps me on my toes and I work part time for London Borough of Redbridge. I have experience in working with children and young people up to the age of 18 in a range of settings including play schemes, secondary schools and pupil referral units. In my spare time I like to keep myself busy by going on long walks, going to the theatre and losing myself in a good audiobook.

 Alice McCormack– Associate Governor  

An ex-Statistician in Royal Mail HQ, I have been a member of the governing body since 2006.  Both my children attended Bonneygrove and I wanted to give something back.  Over the years I have run the school fruit and veg tuck-shop, led the gardening club to achieve the top level RHS School Gardening Award and now I volunteer weekly with the Upper Key Stage tutoring Maths -making use of my Bsc, MSc, AMIMA maths qualifications.  Outside of school I enjoy sport and spending time with family and friends.

David FADipe-Finance Governor
 

I am a self-employed Chartered Management Accountant trading under the name “Enil Consulting”. I am a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA), an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (ACMA). I also hold a Master’s degree in Accounting and Financial Information from De Montfort University, Leicester. I have had vast experience of corporate audit, management and financial accounting, and tax practice spanning over 25 years, both in private, public and Local government sectors.

I am very passionate about youth development and quality education for our children, hence my interest to gladly join the governing board of Bonneygrove School. I have one daughter who is 13, currently at boarding school in Norfolk. She attended Cuffley Primary School. I am a member of the governing board as Finance Governor.

My interests are writing, Snooker, Swimming, Squash, Football and economic issues

 

 Maria DiFrancesco-Staff Governor 

I joined Bonneygrove Primary school in September 2019 as Leader of Learning in Key Stage 1.

My last teaching post was at a large primary school in North London, teaching Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.   Prior to teaching I had a long career working with children and families in early years.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, baking, visiting the theatre and spending time with friends and family.

Lesley Hall-CO-OPTED Governor

I am Lesley Hall, a retired Local Government Officer and I have been a co-opted member of the governing body since June 2018. I live in Goffs Oak and have two daughters and four grandchildren.

One of my daughters is a Primary School Teacher and the other is a Paediatric Nurse (whose two children attend Bonneygrove).
