Ofsted Parent View – What It Is and Why It Matters
At Bonneygrove and Millbrook Primary Federation, we value your views about your child’s school. One of the key ways you can share these views with Ofsted, the national education standards body, is through Ofsted Parent View.

What Is Ofsted Parent View?
Ofsted Parent View is an online survey that allows parents and carers to share their opinions about their child’s school at any time during the year. You can give feedback on areas such as:
-
Whether your child is happy and feels safe
-
The quality of teaching and support
-
Behaviour and wellbeing
-
Communication between school and home
-
Support for children with additional needs, including SEND (special educational needs and/or disabilities)
You can complete the survey before, during or after an inspection — it’s not limited to inspection weeks.
Why Your Voice Matters
1. Help inform school inspections
Ofsted uses Parent View responses when planning and conducting inspections. Your views form part of the evidence inspectors consider when evaluating a school’s performance.
2. Provide valuable feedback to the school
The responses help us understand where we are doing well and where we can improve. Sharing your honest views supports school development and helps us focus on what matters most for pupils.
3. Influences decisions about inspection timing
Ofsted may use feedback from Parent View when deciding if and when a school should be inspected. This means your voice can have a positive impact on how inspections are scheduled and carried out.
How It Works
-
Visit the Ofsted Parent View website: https://parentview.ofsted.gov.uk/
-
Register with your email and create a secure password.
-
Search for our school by name or postcode.
-
Complete the short online survey.
Your feedback stays anonymous — schools and inspectors only see the summary responses.
When to Use Ofsted Parent View
-
At any time during the school year: You can submit responses whenever you like, not only during inspection weeks.
-
Before or during an inspection: Ofsted will invite parents to complete the survey when a school is being inspected.
If you complete the survey more than once in a school year, only your most recent submission for that school will show in the results.
How We Use Parent View
-
We review Parent View responses to help guide improvement planning.
-
We share results with governors and staff as part of our self-evaluation.
-
We encourage as many parents and carers as possible to take part so the results reflect a broad range of views.
Thank You for Sharing Your Feedback
