The children in Reception have had a very exciting year so far! They have enjoyed many ‘Broadening Horizons’ experiences, such as making their own stir-fries, having a shape party with fruit kebabs in different 3D shapes and making Pudsey biscuits for Children in Need. The weekly highlight for most children remains visiting the woods where we have been on a Bear Hunt, had hot chocolate and learned about shapes using sticks.
We are so proud of all the children and their fantastic efforts at learning to read and write. A big thank you to all their grown-ups who have been helping them at home – your support makes all the difference.
Many exciting experiences are being planned for the remainder of this year, including a visit from Children Inspired by Yoga with Tatty Bumpkin and a trip to the Gruffalo woods.
