So far this term we have enjoyed learning about our capital city London. Within our topic we have looked at the UK as a whole and used maps of the British Isles to create our own weather forecasts.
We have also created our own fantastic masterpieces of London landscapes to create a miniature city in our class. If you would like to find out more facts about London, some children have created fact files about the Great Fire of London that happened many years ago.
We have discussed different locations within London, as well as our famous Landmarks and what they represent. In music we have been learning about the popular sounds within London and represented these sounds using a variety of instruments. For History, we have just begun learning about The Great Fire of London and we are excited to show off our knowledge in our class assembly this half term.
In Maths, we have been working very hard to represent and use number bonds to 20, using a variety of resources to support our learning. Our most recent challenge has been to solve addition/ subtraction problems using our knowledge of numbers.
We are currently working on our artistic flares in order to create our own multi-media portrait of the Queen. You can see our work in progress here….
