Message from the Head of School!

Dear Bonneygrove Families,

What an absolutely wonderful few weeks we've had at Bonneygrove! I'm delighted to share some of the fantastic experiences our pupils have enjoyed recently, and I hope you'll feel as proud as I do when you hear about their adventures and achievements.

Our Year Four pupils had the most engaging time during their crime and punishment workshop. It's always exciting to see history come alive for our children, and they were completely captivated by the experience. The way they threw themselves into learning about different historical periods never fails to impress me.

Year Three ventured out to the STEM centre in Stevenage, where they had the opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in such an interactive way. These hands-on experiences are invaluable for sparking curiosity and enthusiasm for learning, and our pupils certainly made the most of every moment.

I must tell you about Year Six's incredible trip to London, where they were treated to a performance of Wicked the musical. What a magical experience for them! Seeing their faces light up as they experienced live theatre was truly special, and it's these moments that create lasting memories of their primary school years.

Speaking of Year Six, I want to give them the biggest congratulations for their tremendous effort during their SATs. They worked incredibly hard, and their dedication and perseverance throughout the process was remarkable. Well done to each and every one of them – they should feel very proud of themselves.

Our celebration assemblies continue to be a highlight of my week. The children keep bringing me their work to share, and I'm constantly amazed by the variety and quality of writing and projects they're completing. The creativity and effort they put into their learning is simply wonderful to see.

Looking ahead, we have so much to anticipate! Sports day is approaching, and I know the children are getting excited about showcasing their athletic abilities. Summer term two promises to be packed with more trips and workshops, giving our pupils even more opportunities to learn beyond the classroom walls.

I do need to ask for your help with a couple of important matters. Please could you keep dogs away from the gate entrance as much as possible? Some of our children and adults experience a fear of dogs, and we want everyone to feel comfortable and safe when arriving at school.

Additionally, please remember to park considerately for our local residents, ensuring they can still access and exit their drives. Your thoughtfulness in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your continued support.

Hello everyone! I’m Stacey Doyle and I began my journey at Bonneygrove Primary School in April 2025. I moved from Derbyshire and spent ten fantastic years living and working in London, where my teaching career began in an inner-city school in Camden. After that, I taught in Abu Dhabi before returning to the UK to teach at a large primary school in Walthamstow, and later moved to Hertfordshire. I have also had the opportunity to teach in a private school, which added another valuable dimension to my teaching experience.

Being part of diverse and multicultural environments has been a rewarding experience, allowing me to learn and grow alongside my students.

I love teaching all subjects in the curriculum, though English and Science has always been my passion.

Outside of work, I love travelling, meeting new people and learning about different cultures. I also enjoy exploring the outdoors, horse riding (a lifelong passion of mine), reading, and playing squash.

"Here are some of the exciting learning opportunities our children have been part of over the last term".
