Message from the Headteacher

{alt_tag}

Dear Parents and Carers,

Spring One has been an exciting term with lots going on.  School Parliament had the exciting opportunity to visit the House of Commons and viewed an MP debate in action.  Year Six experienced their annual Blitz Night to start off their WWII history module and Year Three took part in an Ancient Egyptian workshop.

We continue to be grateful to all of the volunteers who help keep the school running on a day-to-day basis, buttering bagels, attending reading book bonanzas, and helping in the classrooms.

The year group curriculum newsletters which are released at the start of every half term will give you more information on the activities and topics children will be learning about in the second half of the spring term.

Finally, we would also all like to thank your generosity supporting the Red Cross Disaster Appeal in Turkey and Syria. We raised the phenomenal amount of nearly £2000.

Our new Facebook page is now live!  Follow us on Bonneygrove Primary School (Facebook), @bonneygroveps (Instagram), @BonneygroveS (Twitter) for live updates, information and to see all of our exciting activities!

Meet the Teacher Spring One 2023

On every newsletter we will introduce a new teacher for the parents and carers to get to know a little better.

Miss Morris

I am Miss. Morris and I have recently joined the Bonneygrove team as a year 1 teacher. I recently graduated from University of Hertfordshire with a Primary Education degree however I have been working with children for over 6 years now, primarily in a nursery setting.

Knowing that I am helping children to achieve their full potential and helping them to raise and maintain a high self-esteem are just a couple of reasons that I love working with young children. Children never fail to remind me how exciting the world the world can be and constantly encourage me to use my imagination to develop new and creative ideas.

I adore animals – I currently have a pug named Trixie, a cat named Nala and a guinea pig named Rosie. Although if I had it my way, I would have many more pets!

I also really enjoy football (watching it, I’m not much of a player!) and I try to go to as many matches as I can.

"Here are some of the amazing learning opportunities our children have been part of over the last term".
